The Academy of Music offers voice lessons for children or adults of all ages
We have many students who take voice lessons or singing lessons at our Oakville and Georgetown schools.
Students sing all kinds of music from their favorite artists to classical arias. Voice students also sing in our popular rock/pop band program.
Our voice teachers are highly qualified specializing in voice and
sing everything from pop and jazz to opera. Our teachers all have performance
backgrounds as well.
Here are a few of the things a student will learn in singing
lessons

- How to increase their range
- Proper
pitch
- How to project
- Stage presence
Many of our voice students also sing in the Acapella Choir
Our schools offer at least 2 optional
performance opportunities each year with a Christmas recital and a Spring concert. We also have students that perform
at local festivals. Our private, one-on-one voice lesson lengths are 30 minutes or 1 hour.
Rock and Pop Band
Series
For students of all instruments, levels, and
ages!
Learning to play together as a team, mastering your part, putting it all
together as a stage performance, learning about basic styles and forms is
covered each week. Basic music theory concepts are also taught using examples
from the songs the bands are playing. Students move ahead in their skill levels
at their own pace, and the teacher assigns parts appropriate for each band
member. Rock 'n Roll (classic and contemporary), pop, and familiar classics.
