My First Piano Adventures

This preschool piano program is a fun, group class for children ages 4 and 5 designed to teach the basics of piano.  All classes are limited to 4 students per class and are 1/2 hour once per week.

Our "First Piano Adventures" group program is the perfect start to your child's development of music appreciation.  Students will learn the fundamentals of piano in a fun group setting and work on playing music together with other children the same age.

What to expect in a preschool piano class

• An organized structure and routine to keep the class active
• Piano fundamentals - note recognition, rhythm studies, dynamics, etc.
• Creativity and self-expression development through music activities and games
• Social skills - meet other kids their age and forge new friendships throughout the year
• Follow up take-home assignments to guide practice sessions
• Open communication with the teacher so you can help them at home or just to see how they are doing

Are your kids 6 or older?

Private piano lessons start at age 6

Our one-on-one private lessons mean that the teacher can focus on the individual learning style of the student. Private lessons also mean that they are able to learn the type of music they enjoy the most. Also with private lessons a teacher can focus all of their attention on one student at a time to make sure that things like hand positioning and posture are correct and that the student understands all of the concepts taught.

If a student has a a little trouble in one area, the teacher can focus on it without slowing the rest of the class down and alternatively if a student is ready to go to a new song or lesson they will not have to wait for the rest of the class.

We offer 30 minute, and 1 hour piano lessons. Here are a few ways to enhance your piano lesson experience:

• Take piano lessons in a professional music teaching environment
• Use a recognized lesson program ie. Royal Conservatory of Music
• Take private lessons for children 6 and older
• Take lessons from a qualified piano teacher
