Academy of Music Scholarship Program
in Oakville and Georgetown Ontario
The Academy of music scholarship program was created to provide music lessons to children in Oakville and Georgetown Ontaro that wouldn't normally have the opportunity themselves.
Each one year scholarship includes a weekly music lesson on the instrument of their choice and and ensemble practice (if applicable) at the Academy of Music in Oakville or Georgetown. All financial support comes from the Academy of Music, the Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestra, and the Georgetown Celtic Fiddle Orchestra.
Qualified students will be chosen by Big Brothers / Big Sisters in Oakville and Georgetown and will be expected to attend a minimmum of 80% of their music lessons and ensembles.
